What to do while Vacationing in Bermuda

Located 1,100 miles northeast of who likes azada ancient the Florida shores is the island of Bermuda. Commonly known as one island, it actually has over 138 islands in the territory which can be accessed by bridges. Even though the islands are quite a distance from the rest of the Caribbean, it is still considered part of it. One of the differences between Bermuda and the other islands in the Caribbean is the weather. In the winter months the temperatures can get as low as 50 degrees, but usually stay around 65. The island offers many activities to do throughout the year to keep everyone entertained.

Bermuda is one of the leading resorts in the world. One of the reasons could be because of its 32 unique beaches. The sand is powdery and pink in color. The reason for the color is that the rough waves in the Atlantic Ocean crush tiny red crustaceans which ultimately come to shore and mix with the sand. There are many beaches throughout the islands, but quite a few are privately owned by resorts. If you decide to go with accommodations by the ocean it is best to ask so you will know ahead of time where you will be able to stroll and enjoy the beautiful views.

Just like the rest of the Caribbean, scuba diving and snorkeling are big attractions. Participants will be able to see beautiful marine life along with shipwrecks. Helmet diving is another common water sport in Bermuda. It is similar to scuba diving, but for all ages. A special helmet is worn which will keep hair from getting wet while exploring the clear waters.

Bermuda offers other outdoor activities besides water related sports. Trails are found throughout the island where you will be able to walk and hike while taking in the islands beauty and charm. One such trail is the Bermuda Rail Trail. It opened to the public in 1984 after being closed since 1948. It is a result of Bermuda’s only train that started traveling in 1931 and only lasted 17 years. The trail is scenic and worth spending some time on.

Taking a vacation to Bermuda will be unlike any other Caribbean trip. With so many options to do, you will be able to get the most enjoyment out of your vacation on these islands.
