What are the Symptoms of Hypertension?

Having high blood pressure is a condition known as Hypertension. More than 50 million Americans have it. Within those 50 million, about 30% have not even been diagnosed. Hypertension does not have many symptoms which is why it can be referred to as a silent killer since it causes damage to the body with little to no symptoms.

Many people will find out they have Hypertension by accident at a Doctor visit. Another reason they determine that a person has the condition is if the person develops complications of Hypertension. These complications can include kidney disease or failure, heart disease, stroke, impaired vision, and other problems.

Although the condition usually does not have many symptoms, some people who have Hypertension will suffer from headaches, dizziness, papilloedema, and confusion.
Even if the person is suffering from at least one of these, it may not be caused by Hypertension. There are symptoms of Hypertension that only a Doctor can notice. That is why it is important to visit your Doctor and be checked for this condition.

Very severe High Blood Pressure, especially malignant high blood pressure can cause headaches that are common in the morning, nausea and vomiting, and visual impairments. If Hypertension is not treated, it can cause damage of the heart and kidneys. This can lead to stroke, heart disease, and eye damage.

There are two diseases that can be caused by Hypertension. One of azada magic those is Preeclampsia. Any high blood pressure during pregnancy is a type of “gestational hypertension”. Preeclampsia is severe High Blood Pressure for a pregnant woman. Eclampsia is when the person has very severe Gestational Hypertension which can cause seizures. Pheochromocytoma is the other disease that leads to Hypertension. It is a rare tumor that is found in the adrenal glands. Only 1 out of 1000 people who live with Hypertension actually has Pheochromocytoma, though.

Since there are not many symptoms to clue the person who has Hypertension, it is best to get checked to make sure you do not have the condition. Doing so will result in treating the problem if it exists. When you treat Hypertension you are not only doing so for your heart, but other organs in your body also. Remember that even if you have no symptoms, you still may have it. Your Doctor will be able to make the correct diagnosis and guide you in the right steps to treating it.
